ian cheng made this video of a walk home with the moma modern voices audio tape as a voice over and it is brilliant. a funny twist on serious art theorists talking about “major works of modern genius” and a cool look at the things you can see and make just walking home in the city mixed with some awesome video editing skills.


scientists have figured out how to make any metal look gold. They alter the surface with  tiny holes from a laser and it changes the reflective properties of the metal, making it look gold or black or another color, depending on how the surface is altered. the full story is in the nytimes.  we live in a crazy world.
